Michael Weinius, who had great success as Siegfried/Siegfried at Deutsche Oper am Rhein in Düsseldorf last season, recently proved that he is one of the top Siegfrieds in the world at the moment, when making his debut as Siegfried/Götterdämmerung at Deutsche Oper am Rhein. Frida Engström, who had great success as Michaela in Carmen and Pamina in The Magic Flute at Gothenburg Opera last season, will be singing Christine in Phantom of the Opera this season. Her first performance will be on 29 September and the last on 19 May.
Michael Weinius, who is rehearsing Walküre in Stockholm at the moment, had initially planned to spend the Easter holidays with the family in Norway, but made a last minute change of plans when there was an emergency. Instead he will be making his debut at the Opera in Karlsruhe as Siegmund on 15 April.
