Arvid Eriksson - Singer - Baritone

Swedish baritone Arvid Eriksson (born in 1998) graduated from The Royal College of Music in Stockholm in 2021 and has since established himself as one of Sweden’s most sought after singers on the concert platform. Growing up in a family of musicians he began his professional career at the age of sixteen when joining the renown ensemble Göteborg Baroque, of which he remained a member until 2022.

Among recent engagements to be mentioned are Mozart’s Mass in C minor with the Gulbenkian Orchestra under the baton of Ton Koopman, Handel’s Messiah with the Västerås Sinfonietta and his debut with the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra in Haydn’s The Creation.

Arvid’s extensive concert repertoire further includes works by Bach such as the St John’s Passion, St Matthew Passion, Christmas Oratorio, B-minor Mass and several cantatas, Handel’s Messiah,
Haydn’s Stabat Mater, the Requiems by Brahms, Mozart, Fauré, Duruflé, as well as works by Beethoven, Britten, Monteverdi, Roman, Larsson and many more.

Arvid has performed a number of well-known song cycles, including Schumann’s Dichterliebe and Liederkreis op. 24, Mahler’s Rückert-Lieder, Beethoven’s An die ferne Geliebte and Vaughan
Williams’ Songs of Travel. He also frequently performs lieder by Schubert, Strauss, Brahms, Ravel,Sibelius, and Finzi, among others.

Arvid has received numerous scholarships and also holds a degree in church music.
