Frida Engström, who had great success as Michaela in Carmen and Pamina in The Magic Flute at Gothenburg Opera last season, will be singing Christine in Phantom of the Opera this season. Her first performance will be on 29 September and the last on 19 May.
Michael Weinius, who is rehearsing Walküre in Stockholm at the moment, had initially planned to spend the Easter holidays with the family in Norway, but made a last minute change of plans when there was an emergency. Instead he will be making his debut at the Opera in Karlsruhe as Siegmund on 15 April.
