Aaron Cawley - Singer - Tenor

Aaron Cawley is a Heroic Tenor trained by Prof. Robert Alderson in the National Conservatory of Ireland.

During eleven seasons as principal Tenor at the Hessian State Theatre, Wiesbaden, Aaron has truly grown into his fach, amassing over 35 different roles in his tenure. He’s been exploring his versatility with roles such as Lensky, “Eugene Onegin”; Don Jose, “Carmen”; Cavaradossi, “Tosca”; Riccardo, “Un Ballo in Maschera”; Steva, “Jenufa”; Rodolfo, “La Boheme”; Sergei and “Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk”.

Recently Aaron debuted his three signature roles of Siegmund, “Die Walküre”; Manrico, “Il Trovatore” and Hermann, “Pique Dame”. The latter being performed at Czech National Opera, Brno; Opéra de Toulon, Opéra Grand Avignon and Teatro Petruzzelli, Bari. Another great success was uncovered at Tiroler Festspiele where he performed the role of Lancelot in Chauson’s gem “Le Roi Arthus” to critical acclaim.

This past Season, having returned to Teatro Petruzzelli, Aaron made his debut with the title role of “Tannhäuser” cementing his position in the world as a premier Helden Tenor. Immediately after this he made two more impressive debuts in the roles of Otello and Calaf

Among future engagements to be mentioned are Hermann in Pique Dame at Garsington Opera and Kaiser in Die Frau Ohne Schatten in Bonn.
