Magdalena Risberg - Singer - Soprano

Swedish soprano Magdalena Risberg received her musical education in her native Stockholm at the Royal Academy of Music and the University College of Opera.

After completing her studies she was engaged at the Royal Swedish Opera as First Flower Girl in (Parsifal), Liú (Turandot) and Pamina in (Magic Flute).

Following engagements took her to the Geneva Opera (Medea), St. Gallen (Le Cid) and Norrlandsoperan (Sweden) where she made her debut as Traviata. From 2016 to 2018 she was an ensemble member at Theater Luzern in Switzerland, where she acquired a broad repertoire singing roles such as Gilda (Rigoletto), Pamina (Magic Flute), Elvira (L’Italiana in Algeri), Manon (Manon), Nannetta (Falstaff) and Amanda (Le Grand Macabre).

Among further recent and upcoming engagements to be mentioned are Violetta (Malmö), Micaela (Stockholm), Pamina (Semperoper Dresden) and Mimì (Stockholm).

Magdalena Risberg has received the Jenny Lind Award as well as the Birgit Nilsson Award.
